Buying costs

If you choose to buy the whole home, there are a few other costs you’ll be 100% responsible for.

If you want to buy the whole home within 5 years of moving in, we’ll ask you to reimburse the funding partners for the remaining share of their buying costs (Stamp Duty, solicitor, and property survey).

But if you buy the whole home after 5 years of moving in, you don’t have to pay these costs.

And you’ll need to budget for costs like, but not limited to:

  • Your own solicitor costs

  • Mortgage lender fees

  • Property survey fees

  • Bank fees

When you buy 100% of your home, you’ll have to pay Stamp Duty again because the government view it as a new purchase.

We’re working with the government to change the current laws because they don’t account for our new way of helping people buy homes.
